FAQs
I WANT TO SOLVE MY ODOR PROBLEM WITH: SMOKE
Smoke has the ability to get behind walls, floors and ceilings. The best approach is to get rid of any burned or charred material, then clean all surfaces with RX101 Deodorizing Cleaner.
Since wood acts like a sponge, any open wood surfaces should be painted or sealed after cleaning all with RX101 Deodorizing Cleaner. If not sealed the smell of smoke will wick back out again.
Next, put an exhaust fan in one end of the space (attic?) and use a cold fogger with RX60 Odor Eliminator in the basement. The key is to draw the RX60 up through the house, including the dead air spaces behind the walls, following the path of the smoke.
We have a product specifically for airborne smoke issues, RX29.
I WANT TO SOLVE MY ODOR PROBLEM WITH: PETS
The key to eliminating odors from pet or human accidents is to treat all 3 dimensions involved with the odors. First, clean and disinfect all “above the floor” hard surfaces using RX75 Disinfectant Cleaner. If a large area is to be disinfected, you can use one of the AIRX concentrated disinfectants such as RX44 ACE or RX78 Plus.
Second, thoroughly wet out the floor surface with RX66 Bio-Enzymatic Foul Odor Digester and allow to stay wet for 1-4 hours. This will generate a colony of “good” bacteria that will feed on the organic fluids that have migrated into the flooring.
Third, use a cold fogger with RX60 Foul Odor Eliminator to attack the foul odor molecules in the air.
I WANT TO SOLVE MY ODOR PROBLEM WITH: FOOD
There are two types of procedures. Restorative procedures and daily maintenance procedures.
For restorative treatment, thoroughly eliminate all odor sources, clean and disinfect all “above the floor” hard surfaces using a solution of RX44HDQ or RX44ACE Disinfectant Cleaner and rinse with potable water. Second, thoroughly wet out the floor surface with RX66 Bio-enzymatic Foul Odor Digester and allow to stay wet for 1-4 hours. This will generate a colony of “good” bacteria that will feed on the organic fluids that have migrated into the flooring.
Next, treat all sink and floor drains with RX32. Regular daily maintenance should include cleaning and disinfecting all surfaces (floors included) with RX44HDQ or RX44ACE. Food prep surfaces should be rinsed with potable water.
I WANT TO SOLVE MY ODOR PROBLEM WITH: GARBAGE ODORS
All surfaces need to be thoroughly cleaned with RX30 Deodorizing Degreaser or RX34 Trash & Dumpster Cleaner. Apply RX30 or RX34, after a few minutes dwell time, then power spray the surface clean. RX30 can be dispensed at regular intervals into a dumpster or compactor. It will “bloom” odor counteractant whenever it is activated with liquid.
An automatic dispensing system can be installed to inject RX30 or RX60 into a dumpster or the air.
If the odors or solid present is not extreme or after cleaning with RX30 or RX34 you can apply RX31 Super Sorbent to absorb the liquid matter and release the Airicide® and citronella fragrance.
Additionally, RX19E Solid Odor Counteractant can be installed in a Scentinel Wall Cabinet and mounted on a wall or door near the entrance to the area.
I WANT TO SOLVE MY ODOR PROBLEM WITH: CARPET
To eliminate odors from carpeting, use RX80 EPA Registered Carpet Sanitizer to clean the carpet. This will kill putrefactive bacteria that is generated by the organic material and “food sources” adhering to the carpet fiber.
To prevent organic material from adhering to the fiber in the future, rinse the carpet with a solution of RX82 Anti Re-soiling Carpet Cleaner.
You can also spray RX22 and RX20f directly on the carpet to elminate odors in between cleaning cycles.
For airborne and surfaces you can use RX29.
WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF THE UNOPENED PRODUCT?
A: All products are shelf-stable for a minimum of one year. That assumes the products are stored in an area that prevents freezing and high temperatures (100f or above). Each product is different in its chemical stability as well as the stability of the packaging. Best practices would be to use it within one year of production. Each package has a code date on it to indicate when it was produced. If you need details on that information contact Bullen directly at [email protected]
